About the venue
Hunting at its best – and the evening after
Bognæs is a private peninsula in Roskilde Fjord with forest, meadows and shoreline – and a hunting lodge built to bring the party together after the day. The hunt is organised with your own gamekeeper who knows the land, and can be combined with clay pigeon shooting and Land Rover driving across the estate.
In the evening the chefs grill the day’s game, and the table is laid in the hunting lodge with an open fire and views over forest and fjord. Guests stay the night in the houses on site or in glamping tents, so nobody has to drive home.
Hunting is never a requirement. Bognæs works just as well for a seminar, a client day or a birthday where the setting needs to be something special.

An example of 24 hours
What 24 hours at Bognæs could look like
- 09.00 Arrival and briefing Coffee in the hunting lodge; the gamekeeper goes through the day, and the party is split into teams.
- 10.00 Hunting or clays A day’s hunting with your own gamekeeper – or clay pigeon shooting and Land Rover driving for those who do not hunt.
- 18.30 Game dinner The chefs grill the day’s game; the table is laid by the fire with views over the fjord.
- 22.00 Overnight Guests settle into the houses and glamping tents. Breakfast in the hunting lodge the next day.
This is just an example – every event is tailor-made. Chefs, waiting staff, gamekeeper, entertainment and transport are planned and budgeted as needed.
