About the home

In the heart of the city, perfectly quiet: a 188 m² period apartment in Gammelholm

Herluf Trolles Gade lies a few minutes’ walk from Kongens Nytorv, Nyhavn and the harbour – and here it is completely quiet. On the third floor of the building, 188 m² awaits: three bedrooms, a living room facing the street and a large kitchen-diner facing the courtyard – with Dinesen floors, a Poggenpohl kitchen, two bathrooms and a lift.

The apartment’s 188 m² are divided into four rooms and a large kitchen-diner, and the rooms are split between the two sides of the building: the living room faces the street, while the kitchen-diner faces the courtyard. Pale, wide Dinesen planks run from room to room and give the home a warm base tone.

The kitchen-diner is the heart of the home. The Poggenpohl kitchen has white fronts and plenty of work space, and the Quooker supplies boiling, sparkling and filtered water straight from the tap. There is room for a long dining table and for lingering once the meal is over – and with the courtyard outside the windows, this is also where it is quietest.

The three bedrooms provide space for both children and guests – or for a home office that can be closed off when the working day is over. Two bathrooms with large, light tiles mean the morning doesn’t have to be planned around one shower. A washing machine and tumble dryer are in the apartment, and there is also a basement storage room.

The city is right outside the gate. Nyhavn and Kunsthal Charlottenborg are around the corner, and Kongens Nytorv is a couple of minutes away – all four metro lines meet beneath the square, and the M2 runs directly to the airport. At the end of the street, the promenade along the harbour begins on Havnegade, and across the Inner Harbour Bridge you are quickly in Christianshavn. The Royal Danish Theatre, the Royal Danish Playhouse, the Opera on the other side of the water, Amalienborg, the Marble Church, Strøget and the King’s Garden are all within walking distance.

Everyday life is close by, too. Within 500 metres there are almost 100 restaurants, more than 40 cafés, bakeries and supermarkets – and Magasin’s food hall. Yet Herluf Trolles Gade is peaceful. Gammelholm is first and foremost a residential area, the street is one-way, and the city’s bustle stays at Kongens Nytorv and in Nyhavn.

The apartment is available from 1 January 2027. The building has bicycle parking, and a parking space in the courtyard can be rented – a rarity in the city centre. If the apartment is wanted fully furnished, the rent is DKK 54,000 per month.

A few minutes from everything – and calm as soon as the gate closes behind you.
